We would like to deploy your extension on our site and we want to use it to attract visitors to the site. We have a relationship with a provider and we know how to set up the url for sending messages and checking the returned codes.

For the enhancements we would require the following

1. We want registered users on the site to be able to send free SMS messages
2. We would automatically add SMS units to all accounts or just keep a log of messages
sent and check to confirm if a user can send messages
3. The limit would be per day and per month. For example, we can say each user can not
more than 20 messages in a month and not more than 5 on a day
3. We would require a log of all messages sent and users would be able to view a log of messages sent
4. Users would only be able to send 100 characters per messages
5. We want to be able to set up tag messages that would be attached to messages sent by users. The tag messages would not be more than 60 characters
6. The admin section would display a log of total number of messages sent by each user and also total messages sent in a day, week or month
7. The message limit per day and month should be parameters that the admin would set.

We would also like to retain the current platform with the following features

1. address book for users
2. send messages to contacts in a group
3. admin add units to an account. this units should be different from the free units and the user should be able to send the standard 160 characters and also multiple pages
4. users can upload a text file and send messages to all the numbers in the text file
5. Users can schedule messages. We would require a cron file we can set up to automatically process these scheduled messages
6. Users can view message log, resend messages and forward messages from the log
7. We want the address book to support date of birth. Users would be able to send invites to friends by email to submit their date of births and users would be able to set alerts to receive a text on a friend's
birthday and also send auto send an alert to the friend.

Do advise if this is possible, how soon it can be done and the cost of the enhancement.

Next version SMS 3.5 is expected to release on Feb 2011.

Thanks for the prompt response. We would wait for version 2.0 but we may not be able to wait till
end of September as we need to deploy as soon as possible.

We have PHP developers but they are not familiar with the Joomla platform. Will it be possible
for us to get guidance from you on the structure of the solution and other information that
may help us make necessary changes?

Thanks. If we purchase the current version, are we going to be entitled to free upgrade when the new versions are ready? I guess the source files are open. We would like to get a head start with the code structure and how we can make the amendments we want while we wait for version 2. With version 2, we should be able to implement the other missing features.

Can i make payment with a MasterCard? I do not have a paypal account.

Hi,

I got the confirmation that version 2 is now available and i sent a mail requesting to know if we would get free upgrades if we purchased version 2.0 now but the support person made the mistake of assuming am an existing customer and email the version 2 to me. I would still want to pay for the solution and should be able to get a paypal account before the end of the week i can pay through.

Although i intend to test the component locally latter tonight, i would ensure that it is paid for before deploying it on online.

We currently use infobip SMS gateway with this URL

The the message is processed successfully, a message ID is returned. This is a 9 - 12 numeric string (like 374210336). If the message is not delivered, it returns error codes between -1 and -12. How do we implement this in the component. We would also like to know if the application stores the message ID and also the error code to enable use trace the messages.
